Job Posting Description:

This is a hybrid role #LI-Hybrid

Reporting into the Director of VMO, the data analyst plays a crucial role within the IT department, focusing on leveraging advanced data analytics, visualization, and reporting skills to provide insights into vendor performance and IT spending. You will transform complex datasets into data-informed decision-making across the organization.

About the Role

Data Analysis and Reporting (70%)

  • Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel pivot tables and Power BI, to visualize vendor performance, spend analysis, and contractual compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of vendor data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost savings or performance improvements.
  • Create vendor reports for Leadership and vendor business reviews, and update and monitor spend, vendor risk profiles with IT's strategic vendors.
  • Develop and implement Vendor Management reporting procedures to refine the reporting process and provide vendor reports for senior management.
  • Perform data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in large datasets related to IT vendors and spending.
  • Create compelling data narratives and visualizations to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical partners.

Vendor Performance Measurement (15%)

  • Implement reporting on KPIs and metrics to assess vendor performance objectively.
  • Build vendor scorecards using data visualization techniques to present complex information in an easily understandable format.
  • Help manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by providing data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to vendor Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) by preparing data-backed presentations and insights.

Process Improvement and Spend Analysis (15%)

  • Analyze commercial contractual terms, pricing structures, and historical spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support vendors performance enhancement.
  • Develop predictive models to forecast future spend and resource requirements.
  • Support the Vendor Risk framework by providing data analysis for informed decision-making in vendor selection, onboarding and annual assessments.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data collection systems to support efficient vendor management processes.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement data-driven solutions that enhance vendor management capabilities.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, D3.js) and the Microsoft suite of products
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT vendor management, procurement or strategic sourcing groups.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.
  • Proven track record of developing impactful data visualizations and dashboards that inform business decisions.
  • 5+ years of experience with database management and SQL skills for complex data querying and manipulation
  • Ability to analyze various business domains, including vendor management and procurement.
  • Vendor Management or Procurement certification (e.g., CIPMM).
