Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, HR Co-op – Duration January 2024-May 2024

Are you a student looking for an opportunity to build your Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion career over the winter semester? Reporting to the Senior Manager, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the HR Assistant, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – Co-op Undergraduate provides administrative function services such as scheduling and processing to support the DEI team in the development and delivery of DEI programs and initiatives, and day to day operational activities. By ensuring appropriate DEI-related processes are followed and effectively providing administrative support, the position is responsible for supporting the advancement of LCBO’s DEI programs and initiatives, contributing towards a positive and inclusive employee experience over the course of a co-op term.

About the Role

  • Assist with the coordination, and implementation of various DEI initiatives such as Good Culture Ambassador Program, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), DEI Seminars and Fireside Chats, and DEI updates
  • Post updates on LCBO’s internal websites (intranet, ServiceNow), ensuring distribution to appropriate stakeholders, as needed
  • Work with internal stakeholders such as Retail District Assistants, ERG Organizing Committee members to ensure employee/member lists are up to date and distributed accordingly
  • Assist with coordination and administration of DEI programs/initiatives, as needed
  • Provide administrative support for LCBO’s DEI projects, programs and initiatives, such as coordinating and/or booking meetings, taking meeting minutes, and setting and distributing agendas.
  • Work with internal stakeholders such as GCA Project Team members to ensure any required DEI materials, such as GCA presentations decks or huddle guides are received and reviewed by the Senior Manager, DEI
  • Support in the coordination and administration of a DEI dashboard/report
  • Support documentation and tracking of key DEI metrics and KPIs

About You

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
  • Ability to be highly precise and accurate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong analytic skills, advanced Excel skills with ability to use advanced functions
  • Ability to write clear, understandable recommendations, procedures, and reports
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Good organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with DEI and HR team members and other stakeholders
