About the team

Join our Tax team and contribute to meaningful work that supports both our day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, build your technical skills, and see how tax plays a critical role in business decision-making.
Location
You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office at least three days a week.
Term Duration
This is a full-time 4-month position, starting September 2026.
Co-op / Intern Eligibility
This position is open to co-ops and interns. To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in full-time education or be a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date.
Compensation range
$19.46-$28.55 hourly rate. The final offer within this range will reflect the candidate’s skills, year of education, and experience.

What you will do
As a Tax Co-Op, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of tax functions, including:
- Supporting global income tax accounting and compliance processes
- Preparing working papers and tax provisions for quarterly financial reporting
- Assisting with transfer pricing documentation and related-party charge calculations
- Preparing indirect tax filings and reconciling related financial statement accounts
- Contributing to global corporate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Conducting research, analyzing tax issues, summarizing findings, and presenting insights to the tax team and broader finance organization
- Performing monthly account reconciliations to support financial reporting
- Assisting with audit-related documentation and support
- Supporting month-end close activities
- Participating in ad hoc projects aligned with business initiatives
What we are looking for
- Working toward a degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field
- A proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrates leadership potential through academic, extracurricular, or work experiences
- Thinks creatively and brings fresh ideas to the table
Things that would definitely help
While not required, the following experience and knowledge would be a strong asset:
- Familiarity with accounting systems—especially NetSuite
- Previous work experience in a related field (e.g., accounting, finance, tax)
- A basic understanding of intercompany accounting and foreign currency transactions
- Experience conducting research and analysis to support decision-making
- Completion of introductory tax courses or relevant academic projects
