About the Role

The Principal, Innovation Services, is a senior member of the Innovation and Data Sciences Services (IDS) team within Professional Services at Kinaxis, accountable for IDS program governance and supporting the launch of new product introductions globally.

Leveraging deep knowledge of Maestro, advanced analytics, commercial and supply chain acumen, this role collaborates cross-functionally to enable the transition of new Kinaxis product solutions through all stages of product launch, from initial requirements scoping & estimating to deployment.

The Principal, Innovation Services, operates and communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including C-level executives, sales partners, product managers, product development to key solution and delivery teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Innovation and Data Sciences program management to enable successful transition from new product introduction to full scale deployments.
  • Partner with Product Management, Product Development, Solution Development, Professional Services and other key stakeholders to develop and continuously enhance new PS deployment templates and assets, incorporating learnings from field deployment.
  • Lead IDS risk management in partnership with Product and Technical PMO partners, to mitigate risks driven by product development dependencies, ensuring successful deployments.
  • Partner with Client Partners, Product teams, Product Management, and IDS Managers to develop comprehensive SOWs, including communication, cost, time, and resources to meet client implementation specifications, with on-going enhancements to standard deployment questionnaires & estimates based on field deployment learnings.
  • Track future project opportunities and coordinate with Client Parters on projected SOW close and start dates to support project team resourcing alignment with PS organization.
  • Drive training and enablement for Professional Services team in the New Products areas. Work closely with Product Management and internal training enablement leadership to organize training sessions and bootcamps, developing training content as needed.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders involved in the introduction and deployment of new Kinaxis solutions.
  • Work closely with Product Operations and Program Managers to support new product go-to-market strategies and timelines.

Primary Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ Supply Chain industry experience.
  • In depth Technical Program Management expertise, with at least 5 years demonstrated history of implementing complex software solutions.
  • Dynamic and critical thinker who can understand the intricacies of a new product launch while maintaining a strategic view of the connectivity into professional services.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage a complex network of stakeholders and navigate across multiple enterprise functions to achieve results.
  • Ability to travel 50%, mostly in North America with some global requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization, including C-level Executives.

Role Specific Skills and experience

  • Previous experience working in a Management Consulting environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing planning solutions such as Kinaxis, SAP, JDA, etc.
  • Experience in Data Science, Optimization or Application development, cloud technologies, SQL and /or integration skills.
  • Experience working with product development or product management stakeholders.
  • Experience with production planning and scheduling
