This leader is expected to move with speed and conviction—leveraging AI-powered research, rapid prototyping, and modern design tooling to validate ideas early, reduce delivery risk, and continuously raise the quality bar for customer and user experiences.

What you will do
• Define and own the end-to-end UX and AX strategy across Kinaxis products, ensuring cohesive, scalable, and differentiated experiences.
• Champion a user- and outcome-centered mindset, balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
• Lead experience strategy for AI-driven and agentic workflows, including human-in-the-loop, autonomous, and assistive product experiences.
• Influence product direction at the portfolio level, with decisions impacting the Product BU and broader company strategy.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a global team of UX leaders, designers, and researchers, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
• Build and scale high-performing teams capable of delivering experiences for complex, enterprise-grade products with significant customer and reputational impact.
• Drive modern research practices, including AI-assisted qualitative and quantitative research, synthesis, and insight generation.
• Set expectations for speed to learning, leveraging tools such as Figma, AI-driven design assistants, and rapid prototyping platforms to explore, test, and validate concepts quickly.
• Encourage experimentation and early validation through prototypes, simulations, and proof-of- concept experiences—especially for AI and agentic capabilities.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure experiences are feasible, valuable, and executable.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior product and technology leaders, influencing roadmap decisions and investment priorities through experience-led insights.
• Facilitate strong communication and alignment across disciplines to drive shared ownership of experience quality.
• Oversee the design and delivery of high-quality, accessible, and consistent user experiences across products and platforms.
• Establish and evolve UX standards, design systems, and experience governance that scale with the organization.
• Ensure experiences meet security, regulatory, and compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement in UX processes, tools, and ways of working
What we are looking for
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience delivering complex software products in a global, high-tech organization.
• 7+ years of experience leading UX, design, or product experience teams, including managers of managers.
• Demonstrated business acumen, aligning experience investments to measurable outcomes.
• Strong executive presence with experience presenting clear, compelling narratives to senior leadership.
• Exceptional communication skills—able to articulate experience strategy and design rationale to diverse audiences.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking capabilities.
• Agile, adaptable, and effective in environments of ambiguity, urgency, and rapid change.
• Deep expertise in user experience design, research, and systems thinking for enterprise and SaaS products.
• Strong understanding of AI-powered and agentic product experiences, including trust, explainability, and human-AI interaction patterns.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-enabled research and design tools to accelerate insight generation and prototyping.
• Track record of translating customer and market insights into compelling experience strategies and product outcomes.
• Experience defining and scaling design systems and experience platforms across large product portfolios.
• History of accountability for business-critical work across multiple teams.
• Ability to communicate complex UX, AI, and product concepts clearly to customers, partners, and executives.
• Experience ensuring high standards of quality, accessibility, security, and compliance in product experiences.
• Embodies a “company first” mindset and acts as an ambassador for Kinaxis culture and values.
