About the role
Kinaxis is looking for a Cloud Deployment Specialist to join our Product Verification (PV) team within R&D. We build and run the engineering cloud environments used for end-to-end and performance testing, and we deploy complex, multi-component customer solutions so teams can validate changes quickly and confidently. Our scope is engineering tenants and non-production environments, bringing an SRE-like operational mindset to product engineering. We are cloud-platform agnostic, running on Azure today, expanding to GCP, and potentially AWS in the future.
Salary Range
Annual cash compensation ranges from $90,750 to $133,100 plus a discretionary 10% company bonus. The final offer within this range will reflect the successful candidate’s skills and experience.

What you will do
- Own the operational health of PV engineering tenants and non-production environments used for E2E and performance testing
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot complex, multi-component solutions across Kubernetes and supporting cloud services
- Partner with development teams on deployment requirements, environment needs, and release readiness, and align with SRE on production boundaries and best practices
- Build and improve automation for deployment validation (smoke checks, health checks, and verification workflows)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo CD), plus Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform)
- Improve environment reliability, observability, and cost efficiency through standardization and continuous improvement
What we are looking for
Core requirements
- 4+ years of experience working with various cloud resources and deployments.
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes (AKS and/or GKE)
- Strong troubleshooting across distributed systems (networking, DNS, certificates, load balancing, storage, and configuration)
- Operations mindset, including reliability, repeatability, incident response, and runbooks
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and Git-based workflows
- CI/CD and/or GitOps experience (pipelines, GitHub Actions, Argo CD)
Cloud &Platform
- Public cloud experience (Azure and/or GCP; AWS is a plus), using console and APIs
- Ability to apply repeatable patterns across cloud providers
- Cost awareness, including spend visibility and basic optimizations
Automation & engineering
- Experience with deployment automation and toolchains (GitHub Actions preferred; Jenkins is a plus)
- Configuration and packaging tools (Ansible, Helm); Docker experience
- Comfort reading and improving deployment code/configuration for multi-component solutions, including building automated validations
Ways of working
- Clear communicator who documents decisions, runbooks, and operational knowledge
- Comfortable with engineering/non-production scope and partnering with SRE for production boundaries
- Uses AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot) thoughtfully to accelerate work, while validating outputs and following secure practices
