About the team
The Technology Consultant is a professional level role with demonstrated experience.They provide trusted expertise and contribute, review and support throughout the development phase of concepts in Maestro. They would also be responsible for understanding Kinaxis’ customers’ most pressing business challenges and will be committed to supporting our customers by solving complex issues in their Supply Chain Management practice.They are responsible for supporting data integration activities throughout the deployment of Kinaxis solutions. They understand Kinaxis customers’ most pressing supply chain product offerings so that our customers can start to experience the immediate value of Kinaxis solutions
What you will do
- Configure and implement Kinaxis Maestro software based on customer business requirements, ensuring solution configurations are of high quality, aligned with user stories, and completed in accordance with project timelines.
- Translate business requirements into Kinaxis Maestro software specifications, following Supply Chain Industry trends and best practices.
- Lead and support data management and data integration activities, including source systems data transformation, data loading into Maestro, data cleanup and validation.
- Lead Quality Control/Quality Assurance validation and testing of the solution, including supporting UAT and capturing user feedback. Provide recommendations to improve future processes and implementations
- Provide technical support to end users and resolve complex issues; act as an escalation point for others.
- Update solution documentation and contribute to process improvements for future documentation requirements.
- Participate in deployment workshops with customers with a focus on guiding and training end users on how the Maestro solution was configured in relation to their business requirements and how to achieve immediate value from their investment.
- Provide continued support to the customer during the testing phase of the project to ensure the customer understands the solution and how it integrates into their supply chain management objectives and practices.
- Support deployment workshops to help customers achieve immediate value from their investment.
- Liaise directly with customers and internal SMEs such as the Technology Architect through the project lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications we need
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology or a related field.
- 5~8 years of relevant industry development experience will be ideal for this role.
- Passion for working in customer-facing roles and able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing scheduling principles
- Ability to interpret algorithm flow diagram and understand where extension points are triggered with an understanding of event-based scheduling
- Ability to interpret customer requirements, convert them into simple logic and mapping them with extension logic and algorithm events
- Ability to diagnose issues using logs and common error patterns
- Understanding of the software deployment life cycle; including business requirements definition, review of functional specifications, development of test plans, testing, user training, and deployment.
- Self-starter who shows initiative in their work and learning and can excel in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, able to synthesize a high volume of complex information to determine the best course of action.
- Works well in a team environment and can work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
What we are looking for
- Proficiency in Java for implementing extension logics
- Technical skills such as SQL, R, Java Script, Java IDEs, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of software extensions and embedded algorithm
- Experience working with scheduling concepts and manufacturing planning solutions such as Maestro, Blue Yonder, o9, SAP, Oracle, or applications to support supply chain activities.
- Progressive experience with Scheduling concepts and tools
- Some database level experience extracting data from enterprise class ERP systems including SAP/APO, Oracle, and JDE.
- Comfort with Java IDEs (Eclipse/IntelliJ/VS Code) for development and debugging
