Join Keysight’s team delivering technical support for world leading solutions in electric vehicle (EV) battery test, charging station test, and grid emulator applications and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE).
Our solutions span multiple disciplines which include high power electronics, battery charge/discharge, vehicle charge communications interfaces, test automation and control.
We are looking for a Technical Suport Engineer, including recent graduates, who is eager to learn and grow while supporting customers using complex test systems in EV and EVSE.
Responsibilities
As part of a specialized technical support team, the Junior Application Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and gradually build autonomy in the role. Key responsibilities include:
Provide postsales technical support for Keysight / Scienlab solutions related to battery testing and EV / EVSE charging systems
Support the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of customer issues involving hardware and software, initially under guidance and progressively independently
Use case tracking tools to document customer issues from initial report through resolution and closure
Collaborate with internal teams such as senior Application Engineers, R&D, Sales, and Field Service Engineers to ensure highquality customer support
Collect customer feedback and contribute to representing the Voice of the Customer within the organization
Technical support will be delivered primarily remotely.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Engineering, or equivalent technical background
1+ years of experience in application engineering, test engineering, or technical support roles related to battery systems, power electronics, or charging applications (recent graduates with relevant coursework, labs, or internships will be considered)
Strong interest in power electronics, battery systems, electric vehicles (EV), and charging infrastructure (EVSE)
Knowledge of electronic test and measurement domain with hands on experience on test and measurement related instruments such as power supplies, electronic loads, digital multimeters, function generator, power analyzer and data acquisition system is required
- Understanding of BMS concepts (cell balancing, SOC/SOH estimation, protection mechanisms, battery characterization) is a strong plus
Strong motivation to learn and develop technical expertise to quickly learn Keysight Battery Test Solutions and Charging-related products
- Good written and verbal communication skills in english
Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented, international environment and interact with customers professionally
Ability to manage multiple support cases simultaneously, prioritize based on urgency, and collaborate with R&D, field teams, and higher level support
Good to have
Programming or scripting skills for test automation and data analysis (e.g. Python, LabVIEW, C#, MATLAB, or similar)
