We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled NPI Technician to join our Optical Hybrid Manufacturing team. In this role, you will help develop, run, and improve production processes and contribute to the successful introduction of new products. The focus is on high‑performance optical and high‑frequency component manufacturing. With a strong hands-on mindset, you will support the manufacturing team as well as the engineering team during the development phase. Your work will include manufacturing initial samples and low‑volume prototypes, optimizing production processes, defining design goals and tooling requirements, and training operators to ensure smooth transition into mass‑production.
Responsibilities
• Manufacture and test initial technology samples and prototypes, including optimization and documentation of the associated test and manufacturing processes.
• Define manufacturability objectives and implement solutions to enable scalable and efficient mass production.
• Install, maintain, and optimize manufacturing tools, machinery, and associated processes.
• Provide technical support and training to operations teams, facilitating the global rollout of new products across manufacturing sites.
Qualifications
• Technician certification in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring, and optimizing manufacturing processes involving high-precision machinery within microtechnology environments.
• Foundational knowledge in machine programming, process automation, electronics, and software development.
• Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, machinery operation and programming is advantageous.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong self-motivation and dedication to meeting development timelines and maintaining world-class manufacturing standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective collaboration across teams.
• Proficient in both German and English.
