About the Role

As a Solutions (Field Applications) Engineer - High Speed Digital and AI Infrastructure, you will drive innovation and customer success in high-speed digital validation and compliance testing. This pre-sales role requires a unique blend of technical depth, problem-solving ability, and customer engagement skills. The role provides an opportunity to evolve a deep understanding of the end-to-end AI Infrastructure fabric involving Compute, Interconnect and Networks spanning across all layers of the communications stack with a deep focus on PHY, Protocol and Applications.

Job Description and Core Competencies

• Determine and develop approaches to complex system and solutions engineering assignments, ensuring robust and scalable test strategies for advanced interfaces and Standards like PCIe, DDR, USB, 400GbE /800GbE /1.6TbE, PAM4 signalling and various Display and I/O standards amongst others.
• Comprehensive knowledge of chip, board and system HARDWARE design based on processor, memory and HSD interfaces / SERDES on the physical layer.
• Experience with (post) Silicon Validation testing. Awareness of all physical layer parametric test parameters, measurement methods / MOI, Standards and Compliance including Margin / stress tests.
• Signal integrity based measurement knowledge is a must. Experience with Instruments based Jitter measurements, its control and its compliance to Standards, Eye diagrams, etc.
• Protocol and operational knowledge of HSD interfaces.
• Working knowledge and experience on Oscilloscopes and HSD Compliance suite. Experience with BERT, Sampling oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, AWG, VNA, Agilent / Keysight instruments would be a definite advantage.
• Aware of developments in Optical domain. Knowledge / experience with Optical Modulation Analyzers (OMA), Tunable Lasers, Optical Power meters, Lightwave component analyzer, etc. will be an advantage
• Working knowledge of software programming including Python, Visual Studio, C++, etc. will be beneficial
• Publication of technical articles, papers in digital, optical domain is beneficial.

Primary Function and Key Responsibilities

• Responsible to unearth customer real test needs and challenges. Be a consultant. Map & position appropriate Keysight solution. Deliver technology presentations. Perform convincing application-based pre-sales demonstrations, creating Value through technical differentiation and competitive shootout. Gain customer acceptance of supplied solution and train customers, accelerating speed to insights.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and consulting for Keysight’s solution bring-up, Tx/Rx compliance, and system-level validation.
• Support customers with troubleshooting, testing on customer DUT / environment, interpreting results, optimization of test scenario, reduction of test times through automation. Committed to drive technical issues towards logical conclusion / closure with velocity.
• Participate actively in the sales process from deal qualification to deal closure, owning the technical closure of deals. Be an enabler for field organization to meet sales quota through technical expertise.
• Act as the voice of the customer to influence future product design and ensure alignment with customer needs.
• Partner with R&D, Industry solutions and Marketing teams to identify new application areas, create compelling technical content, and support go-to-market initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics / ECE Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Typically 6 - 8 years of relevant experience at this level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, versatile with multiple global cultures.
• Confidence, with good articulation and presentation skills.
• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Unearth customer needs with a ‘consultative selling’ approach and be able to ‘call High’ in customer’ organisations.
