We design, develop, and deliver high-performance RF and microwave technologies that support customers worldwide. The team collaborates with cross-functional partners—including product management, business development, and R&D—to ensure innovative, high-quality, and customer-focused outcomes.
About the Role
As the SR. RF/Microwave Design Team Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and oversee the successful delivery of complex R&D projects from concept through commercialization. This role combines technical depth, project leadership, and people management, requiring you to balance strategic priorities with hands-on guidance. You’ll be accountable to executive management for project outcomes, and you’ll foster collaboration across global teams while driving innovation, execution, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Own the full lifecycle of R&D projects, from concept to delivery; build and maintain project schedules, charters, decision logs, and status reports.
Stakeholder Coordination: Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, business, and product teams; ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
Technical Leadership: Apply RF/Microwave expertise to guide project execution, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Risk Management: Identify, monitor, and proactively address risks related to technical challenges, resources, and schedules.
Budget & Resources: Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize team impact.
Communication & Reporting: Drive clear, transparent communication within the team and with executive leadership.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and quality standards.
Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement in workflows, methodologies, and project execution.
Day-to-Day Activities: Lead effective meetings, review/approve documentation, support IP development, and enable collaboration.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Several years of proven industrial experience as an RF/Microwave Design Engineer.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
Skilled in synthesizing complex technical concepts into clear communication.
Strategic thinker with ability to make decisions in ambiguous environments
Desired Qualifications:
Several years of successful leadership experience managing teams.
Experience in RF/Microwave system development and innovation.
Knowledge of industry-standard tools and technologies.
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
