Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager to lead our innovative team in developing cutting-edge Bit Error Ratio Test (BERT) and PCIe Protocol Test solutions. As the R&D Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the BERT and PCIe Protocol product development, ensuring timely and successful project completion. Your responsibilities will include defining product functionality and specification, manage the R&D team as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and meet project goals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of high-speed digital board and FPGA design, strong project management skills, and a proven track record of successful execution of complex R&D projects. You’will work closely with R&D teams from Keysight in India and US as well as collaborate with external companies.
- Leads, manages, and develops R&D engineers from different disciplines for BERT and PCIe Protocol Test development.
- Focus of the product development is on high-speed digital board design and highest-end FPGA development including sophisticated cooling solutions. Product development includes mechanical engineering, ASIC, and software development.
- Drives product feasibility studies and aligns product definition with product marketing.
- Manages a cross functional team according to Product Life Cycle (PLC).
- Responsible to achieve project parameters including schedule, investment, manufacturing cost, quality, product functionality and specifications.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience as people manager, or supervisor.
- Bachelors, Master, or University Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- At least seven years professional experience working in R&D.
- Deep technical background in high-speed digital board and FPGA design. Knowledge in T&M. Ideally knowledge in ASIC design, mechanical and software engineering.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proven people management skills. Ability to lead and motivate professionals to meet challenging objectives and timelines.
- Experience in collaboration with related functions in manufacturing, marketing, and planning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Project management
- Knowledge and experience executing R&D projects according to Product Life Cycle.
- Proven track record in product development from concept phase to shipment release.
- Experience in resource planning, task assignment, and completion tracking.
- Experience with managing and reporting project budgets and schedules.
- Languages: German and English.
