Responsibilities
- Responsible to provide engineering support in improving and resolving mechanical and process related issues on the products and production processes to ensure smooth production flow without any impact on shipment revenue and product quality.
- Identifying and redesigning parts and assemblies including part qualification to achieve cost reduction, quality, and yield improvement and minimize AOS risk through the entire life cycle of the product.
- Identifying and initiating the design and fabrication of assembly tooling needed to improve the quality and productivity.
- Lead cross functional team to perform sourcing and qualification of mechanical part when needed.
- Responsible for production process flow setup for any newly added process or new product launch and translate processes into work instruction in clear and precise manner.
- Responsible to manage ERP data such as BOM setup, Item setup and product routing.
- May partner with production and planning on production manufacturing capacity improvement.
- Participate actively in new product introduction (NPI) project, including influencing the design of the product to ensure manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain.
- May lead development projects as required by working with cross functional team including vendor to meet the agreed-upon objectives.
- Partner with production, procurement, and supplier to execute the engineering change to ensure proper change management in production and contract manufacturer.
- Familiar with product quality, regulatory, environmental, safety and export control requirements and may be responsible to work with governance team, legal team, product support and relevant stakeholders for necessary documentation, declaration, and classification to ensure product and process compliance with the requirements.

Qualifications
- Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Typically 4-5 years relevant experience for entry to this level.
- Knowledge in mechanical design tools and applications such as: Creo 3D modeling, Siemen Nx, Solidworks etc.
