Responsible for global procurement and inventory management of high technology or life sciences production, new product introduction (NPI) materials, life-time supply of obsolete parts and/or non-production materials and/or services. Oversees activities related to supplier evaluation, selection and supplier management. Collaborates with management in R&D, Marketing and Manufacturing to contribute to new product/technology plans, implementation and strategies to ensure the supply base supports requirements. Develops plans/strategies, third-party relationships and specific programs in order to achieve business objectives. May lead supply chain strategy development and implementation to assure best cost, optimal inventory, assurance of supply, and materials product generation support for a business.
Supply Chain Management:
Manages and leads employees responsible for the consultation, analysis and design of end-to-end supply chain solutions, tools, processes and metrics including planning and operations, material information, logistics and financial flows, business intelligence, and execution of strategy to improve efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Develops plans/strategies, third-party relationships and specific programs to achieve business objectives. Drives strategic supply chain transformation/optimization initiatives to support business growth. Conducts external benchmarking on supply chain processes in related industries. May develop and manage supply chain business integration programs for potential mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Perform procurement activities such as Supplier Quotations, Contract Negotiation, Material Purchasing in supporting Revenue shipment, Supplier Risk Management , Supplier Performance Evaluation, Safety Stock Management, Inventory Management, Business Continuity Planning, and Procurement Strategy Development.
Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies - Drive procurement efforts and initiatives program to support organization’s Key Deliverable Metrics (KPI)
- Assess, manage and mitigate procurement risks
- Strong data analytical skills to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements and solution
- Ability to lead and resolve problem and suggest solution
- Lead and drive project to support organization
- Able to lead small team of players to achieve supply chain operation excellence
- Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and measure suppliers’ performance based on cost, quality, delivery and service level
- Manage supplier collaboration negotiation including contract and agreement review when need arises
- Able to keep up to pace with business transformation and leverage technology to help in procurement functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics /Programming or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement/supply chain management/ contract management
- Familiar and possess strong business sense on supply chain, planning fundamentals and inventory management systems
- Solid judgement with decision making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to lead small team players
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strategic thinking experience
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply critical thinking
- Strong multitasking skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint and Macro. Other Reporting and data analysis tool/ app such as Power BI, Power Apps, Python, R , SQL Language, Programming , C+ will be added advantage
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (preferably Oracle will be added advantage
- Ability to nurture good working relationships with colleagues in other departments by collaborating and working toward the common goals
