In our "Automotive and Energy Solutions" group, we develop solutions based on state-of-the-art measurement technology for customers in the automotive and energy industries. These are used for the development and validation of autonomous driving systems, vehicle sensors, and power electronics.
For our team in Böblingen, we are looking for committed students who would like to support us as working students during their studies.
As a working student, you will devise and implement RF measurement scenarios with our world class instruments. The resulting measurement data is to be processed, updated, and presented for further decision-making.
Responsibilities
Develop RF measurement scenarios, and plan the measurements with the off-the-shelf components (antennas, waveguides, amplifiers etc.) and Keysight RF measurement instruments (e.g. network and spectrum analyzers).
- Building test setups
- Performing reliable RF measurements
- Automating the process to acquire data
- Analyzing/processing the data and make reports for further evaluation and decision-making
Qualifications
- Study of electrical/electronic engineering, computer science or comparable.
- Good knowledge of microwave engineering and RF measurement basics, especially at mmWave (76-81 GHz)
- Prior experience of using RF measurement equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, calibration kit, RF power meter etc.) is preferred
- Familiarity with antenna pattern measurement
- Good understanding of the automation process, and scripting languages such as Python and/or Matlab
- Good language skills in English; German language skills are a plus
