As the R&D IC Design Team Manager at Keysight Laboratories, you will lead the successful delivery of MMIC development projects within the R&D MMIC design teams. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, leverage your technical expertise, and apply strategic planning to drive a broad range of innovative projects from concept to completion


Responsibilities

As the Manager, you will be accountable to the executive management team and play a key role in developing and maintaining effective methodologies for managing multiple IC development and introduction efforts simultaneously. Your leadership will ensure that project teams remain aligned with business objectives, delivering results that meet the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage the entire lifecycle of R&D projects, from inception through delivery. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, charters, decision logs, and status documents to drive project success.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams including engineers, business development, and product managers. Lead efforts to align project goals with business priorities, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and clear communication.

  • Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of IC design technologies and methodologies to drive project execution. Proactively identify and mitigate technical and schedule risks, making informed decisions to move projects forward amidst ambiguity.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to timelines, resources, and technical challenges. Optimize workflows to maximize resource allocation and achieve business objectives while maintaining technical integrity.

  • Operational Excellence: Conduct effective cross-functional meetings, maintain project schedules, and oversee documentation processes. Support intellectual property development and regulatory submissions as needed.

  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor progress against milestones.

  • Communication and Quality Assurance: Facilitate clear communication among team members, ensuring alignment on project goals and adherence to quality standards.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance project management processes and workflows to streamline operations and improve efficiency


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience balancing technical details with strategic thinking in decision-making.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, influence, and lead communication strategies across R&D and Product Development teams, fostering alignment and driving results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Few years of IC Design Engineer experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IC/MMIC development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific tools and technologies.
  • Excellent written, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Project management certification.
  • Few years of successful leadership experience managing teams.
