Responsibilities
Want to be in the middle of cutting-edge Research and Development? Join the team that’s taking world leading Keysight precision position electronics products from design to production. As a SW Coop Engineer in the Interferometer Electrical and Computer Engineering R&D group, you will be writing final product, production released code. You will gain experience developing software solutions to a wide variety of engineering fields, contribute to complex repositories, and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment. Our team is looking for an engineering student who is proficient in C++ and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Job Responsibilities
- Test and implement functionality which directly interfaces with Keysight precision measurement instruments.
- Test and deploy software packages to customers and internal organizations.
- Apply software principles to address challenges encountered by cross-functional engineering teams.
- Write documentation used by internal and external groups.
Required Skills
- In Progress B.S or M.S. in CPE/CS
- Proficiency C++, C#, or Java
- Strong understanding of OOP paradigms
- Data structures and algorithms
- Linux/Unix Environment
- Thoughtful Documentation Skills
- Git version control
Nice-to-Have Skills
- C# and Python familiarity
- Design patterns, such as Singleton, Observable, and Factory
- Linear algebra and calculus
- Exposure to CI/CD technologies
- Experience interfacing with instruments using SCPI
Nice to have: Be able to work for 6 to 9 months on a full-time, in person basis
Keysight Internship Program Requirements
Candidates who wish to be considered must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as of September 2025. Applicants who have graduated before September 2025 will not be considered unless they are starting a MS or PHD program after graduating.

Pay Rate:
$25-45 hourly
