Responsibilities

The Service Manager will report to the Software Business Development and Technology Services Director and will have the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Business Leadership:
    • Own and drive the profitable growth of the EDA design service business in the Americas and Europe.
    • Identify, manage, and capitalize on new business opportunities within the EDA service sector.
  • Project Management:
    • Plan, execute, and oversee EDA design service projects from concept through completion.
    • Ensure all projects meet client requirements and industry standards, delivering on time and within budget.
    • Prepare and present detailed project reports to stakeholders.
    • Review and approve Project Statement Of Work(SoW). Ensure the projects meet industry standards and SoW.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
    • Address and resolve client concerns, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed team of design service engineers and technicians.
    • Assign tasks, manage resources, and foster a collaborative, productive work environment.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with product management, R&D, support, and other engineering teams to expand and innovate EDA service solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of relevant experience managing customer-facing projects and leading technical teams, with a proven track record of success.
    • Deep expertise in the EDA industry, including design and simulation tools, methodologies, and best practices.
    • Domain expertise in at least one relevant area such as RFuW, high-speed digital, device modeling, System Design or quantum engineering.
    • Proficiency in Keysight ADS, RFPro, HPC, IC-CAP, SystemVue or similar EDA software.
    • Experience with semiconductor devices and RF circuit characterization is a plus.
    • Familiarity with the semiconductor foundry, wireless, and/or aerospace defense industries is desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent project management abilities, with proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting.
    • Experience with CRM and project management tools.
    • Ability to manage distributed teams across different geographies.
    • Commitment to excellence, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
