Your role includes participating in design activities involving power supplies, analog circuit signal conditioning, mixed-signal data conversion (ADC, DAC), sensor & IO interface, PLLs, and analog filter design.
Strong skills in troubleshooting power supplies, analog circuit design, and high-speed digital circuits are essential. A solid understanding of control system stability design and familiarity with component characteristics and behaviour are also required.
Proficiency in using circuit simulation tools such as HSpice, PSpice, LTSpice, and/or Saber is important for this position.
You will collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineers (both application and embedded) within the development team to help define and optimize hardware system designs, ensuring maximum product performance and quality while minimizing costs. Your typical activities will include:
- Contribute to the design and development of analog and mixed-signal system hardware architecture for instruments.
- Stay informed on the latest technology trends and developments to support product platform roadmaps and future design directions.
- Apply strong knowledge of customer applications to assist in optimizing instrument hardware designs.
- Possess a good understanding of multiple disciplines (HW, FPGA, SW, FW, ME) and collaborate effectively with the development team on overall instrument system design and development.
- Work closely with project management and marketing teams from product concept definition through technical investigation and final product development.
- Participate in system hardware and software integration, providing technical support to ensure successful implementation.
- Assist in developing and defining instrument system architecture according to product specifications and scopes.
- Conduct design verification, component selection, and evaluation.
- Develop hardware design documentation to promote consistent design practices and processes.
- Support the promotion of good design practices and the optimization of reusable design blocks.
- Actively contribute to refining and improving hardware design processes.
