Responsibilities

We are hiring a Compensation Consultant to participate in the design, development, and implementation of variable compensation strategies and programs. This position will provide consultation and support to senior management on a wide range of compensation matters, and will actively participate in a variety of complex, high-profile projects spanning many areas of compensation

Candidates can:

  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of program design concepts and financial analysis to offer viable alternatives and select appropriate solutions.
  • Integrate business needs to identify and develop innovative, well-conceived and appropriate design recommendations
  • Proactively complete, manage and/or coordinate the activities for owned programs and deliver services and assignments timely and accurately.
  • Programs manage broad complex projects balancing design needs with implementation needs.
  • Independently coordinate activities, colleagues and peers across different groups who are involved in program implementation to achieve end-to-end program completion.
  • Demonstrate expertise in tools by creating dynamic models to interpret and analyze data
  • Develop on-going relationships as a means to better understand business needs and approach with necessary partnerships both internally and externally.
  • Stay current on real time trends within the market, legal, regulatory and changing political environment that affect programs within their areas of responsibility.
  • Do deep research and analysis for design programs.

Skills and Background needed are:

  • Extensive knowledge of incentive/variable and other compensation/program design concepts and principles.
  • Experience working with Finance and Accounting to develop and analyze cost models and “what if” scenarios.
  • Sound understanding of financial concepts and ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Strong organizational, project and program management skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Highly analytical with an ability to understand, research and analyze best practices and market trends.
  • Strong excel tool development and modeling skills to interpret and analyze data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent attention to detail and quality orientation.
  • Strong written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong consulting and influencing skills; builds collaborative working relationships quickly.
  • 6-10 years of industry experience in a compensation, finance, or legal environment
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a focus in finance/business, accounting, mathematic/statistics, HR or economics. An MBA or JD would be a plus.

Santa Clara, CA Pay Range: MIN $122,820.00 - MAX $204,700.00
