We have a position available in our Telford Service Centre for an experienced Calibration Engineer. This will involve Calibration/validation/Repair of electrical / electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to maintain functionality and accuracy.


Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

  • Calibration/validation/repair of electrical / electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to maintain functionality and accuracy.
  • Both Keysight and non-Keysight products are serviced. Work is performed at the Telford Service Centre.
  • Performing routine tasks, using prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require use of judgment.
  • Solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity.
  • Understand customers’ requirements through face to face and written communication.
  • Travel to customer sites <25% performing calibrations (On-site).

You will be working in a team of experienced technicians and will be responsible for all steps in calibration and training will be given where required.


Qualifications
  • Education and technical knowledge within sector and role
  • Certifications as an electronic/electrical technician (HNC/HND/Level 4 NVQ)
  • Relevant experience in calibration
  • IT knowledge (Windows, Office)
  • Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
  • Confident at answering customer questions
  • Ability to recognize and anticipate problems and search proactively for solutions
  • Ability to work independently and proactive attitude
  • Able to obtain UK security clearance
