Overview
Kanata Learning Centre is growing! We have added more space, and are now adding more educators! If you enjoying working with children and / or adolescents and have 2 evenings per week available, we would love to hear from you! Ideal position for a retired person, an employed person looking to supplement, a third year or higher university student, or a stay at home parent. Early Childhood Educators and Child Youth Worker applicants are highly desired, as your skill set is valued. Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment to encourage student participation.
- Communicate effectively with students.
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience; on site, paid training provided
- Maintain accurate session notes of student progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, or working closely with children / youth.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with children of various age groups
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education
