Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Thermal Simulations:
- Performing thermal simulations using software tools (e.g., Solidworks, ANSYS, COMSOL) to analyze heat transfer, temperature distribution, and thermal stresses within optical transceivers.
- Creating and refining thermal models based on component specifications, operating conditions, and environmental factors.
- Analyzing simulation results to identify potential thermal issues, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Validation and Characterization:
- Developing and executing thermal validation tests to verify simulation accuracy and assess thermal performance under different operating conditions.
- Characterizing the thermal behavior of optical transceivers, including temperature rise, thermal gradients, and thermal resistance.
- Documenting test results and comparing them with simulation predictions to refine models and design parameters.
- Collaboration and Optimization:
- Working closely with design and manufacturing teams to integrate thermal considerations into the design process.
- Identifying and implementing thermal management solutions, such as heat sinks, thermal interfaces, or cooling technologies.
- Optimizing the thermal performance of optical transceivers to meet design specifications and operational requirements.
