As an Early Engagement Program Manager, you will drive the success of various programs within our organization by coordinating deliverables, managing timelines, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Your role will involve overseeing the early stages of engagement, ensuring program activities align with the organization’s strategic goals and contribute towards the growth and efficiency of our operations. ***This position will be on-site at our Austin, TX.
What will you do? –
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and internal teams on the status of programs, including risks, blockers, and dependencies
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program management principles and practices
- Serve as a liaison between cross-functional teams, focusing on understanding challenges, proposing solutions, and ensuring feasibility
- Coordinate multiple projects and reconcile interdependencies among them; drive decisions with appropriate stakeholders and eliminate roadblocks to resolve issues
- Manage program timelines, milestones, meetings, and documentation, including for sustaining programs (commodity core team, customer samples)
- Collaborate with various teams to provide support from project initiation through completion and RFP through business award
- Ensure alignment of program goals with organizational objectives and communicate opportunities to simplify or better align work across teams
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required
- Minimum 8-12 years of work-related experience in program or project management within an engineering environment is required
- Strong understanding of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management, is required
- Experience in analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations is required
- Knowledge of server hardware platforms and server lifecycle development is required
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with sales, marketing, business, engineering, and supply chain teams, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Analytic and decisive decision-maker with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of proactively taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; able to adapt to changing needs of the business.
- Adept at navigating and influencing across a diversified landscape and operating in a global cross-functional team.
- Skilled in creating clear, consistent messages for diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness at multiple levels.
- Capable of assessing projects, articulating risks, and developing project milestones.
- Creative, self-motivated, accountable, and team-oriented.
- Familiar with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
