ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Develops and validates embedded hardware design applications of a complex nature.

2 Independently develops embedded hardware design and PCB layout designs utilizing standard tools

3 Designs all aspects of electronical circuits with minimal supervision.

4 Collaborate with system architects to review and clarify design requirements and architecture and translates them into design specifications.

5 Independently assembles prototypes and validates proper functionality

6 Works with and manages external component suppliers/manufacturers

7 Communicates complex technical aspects of a project effectively to customers, and collects incorporates feedback into design specifications.

8 Identifies design innovations and potential patentable solutions.

9 Collaborates on embedded Firmware design.

10 May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

1 Comprehensive knowledge (with limited complexity) of Industry or specific sector, regulatory and safety standards.

2 Broad knowledge with limited complexity projects that have required one of more of Electical Engineering Design specializations or competencies: Power supply Theory, Digital theory, Analog theory, RF Design, etc.

3 Demonstrated use of key development tools and design standards: Component derating, DFMEA, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, simulation tools, etc.

NON-TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

1 Influence others and share best practices

2 Effectively communicate with good understanding of English.

3 Work as part of a global team

4 Lead others in some aspects of technical tasks

5 Assess a project and articulating risk while developing project milestones.

6 Develop projects in a stage-gate process (PLCQ)

7 Mentor less experienced engineers.

8 Participates in cross-functional design reviews and can lead some aspects of EE design reviews.

EDUCATIION&EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1 Electrical Engineering Degree (BSEE/MSEE or equivalent experience)

2 - 5+ years experience in embedded hardware design or other key competency

3 Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
