As a Quality Systems Engineer at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will manage, coordinate, and execute several of the site’s critical Quality System programs, including CAPA, internal audits, and ESD. You’ll ensure compliance with regulatory standards, lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives, and provide technical guidance to maintain and improve quality systems. Your role is essential to driving operational excellence and supporting customer and regulatory requirements.

What Will You Do?
As a Quality Systems Engineer at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will manage, coordinate, and execute several of the site’s critical Quality System programs, including CAPA, internal audits, and ESD. You’ll ensure compliance with regulatory standards, lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives, and provide technical guidance to maintain and improve quality systems. Your role is essential to driving operational excellence and supporting customer and regulatory requirements.

What Will You Do?
- Manage the site’s CAPA system and auditing tool, including training and technical support for staff.
- Proactively monitor CAPA progress to ensure timely implementation.
- Track calibration metrics and CRR, driving actions and follow-up with owners.
- Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities.
- Continuously analyze the site’s Quality System for compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Support preparation of quality-related documentation and process analysis.
- Provide technical guidance on complex issues; interpret quality standards and regulatory requirements for consistent application.
- Perform independent internal audits and support global internal, external, and customer audits; coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Create, maintain, and update documents related to site-level quality system policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Provide Quality Management with JOS and key plant metrics updates.
- Assist in developing and maintaining JOS metrics for the Quality Systems department.
- Support software and systems validation plan requirements for applicable computer systems.
- Work safely and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Certified internal auditor or advanced knowledge of Regulatory and ISO standards.
- Effective project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis.
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving and investigative aptitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Windows environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
- Knowledge of standard industrial gauges and measuring equipment.
- Preferred: Familiarity with automotive, telecom, medical device, and other industry QMS/EMS standards.
