Jabil is seeking a Technical Sourcing Manager with Manufacturing Processes experience to work in our St. Petersburg, FL location. We are also willing to consider candidates in Memphis, TN as well!

How will you make an impact? As the Technical Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to optimize costs, ensure supply continuity, and manage supplier relationships in a technical environment.

What will you do?

  • Develop Sourcing Strategies: Create and implement global sourcing strategies across key commodity areas, focusing on cost optimization and supply chain resilience.
  • Supplier Management: Manage and develop a global supplier base, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals. This includes overseeing supplier relationships to enhance innovation and sustainability.
  • Cost Reduction Initiatives: Drive initiatives to reduce costs through negotiations, alternative sourcing, and process improvements. This involves analyzing market trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure that sourcing strategies support broader business objectives.
  • Risk Management: Lead risk mitigation planning for supplier disruptions and market volatility, ensuring that sourcing decisions are informed by global market trends.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier performance.

How will you get here?

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required. MBA preferred with experience in Supply Chain a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a in a sourcing or procurement role, preferably within a technical or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform sourcing decisions and drive value creation.
  • Proficiency in managing supplier negotiations and building win-win agreements.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to analyze technical processes and drawings (design for manufacturing).
  • Work with suppliers to do audits of the processes and drawings.
  • Ability to shift and adapt quickly to changing project requirements and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to support multiple projects/customers and have indirect reports is possible.
