Job Summary

The Jr. Engineer, Thermo Forming will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of thermoforming processes and tooling for Jabil's diverse product portfolio. This role involves assisting senior engineers in ensuring efficient production, quality control, and continuous improvement within the thermoforming domain.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and validation of thermoforming tools and processes.
• Support the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of thermoforming equipment.
• Conduct experiments and collect data to optimize process parameters for improved efficiency and product quality.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for thermoforming-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure successful product launches.
• Maintain accurate documentation of process parameters, experimental results, and design specifications.
• Assist in the evaluation of new materials and technologies for thermoforming applications.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for thermoforming.
• Perform basic statistical analysis of process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with thermoforming processes, materials (e.g., ABS, PETG, HDPE), and equipment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proactive and eager to learn new technologies and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
