Jabil is looking to hire a Document Control Specialist in Memphis, TN to act as the primary champion for our plant-level document control system.

Onsite in person position

Pay: $25/hr DOE

Quarterly bonus opportunities

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-5p

How will you make an impact?

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the document control process, including conducting gap analysis, reviewing existing documents, creating new documents, and ensuring proper approval governance. The Document Control Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining a robust document control system that meets regulatory requirements and supports operational efficiency.

What will you do?

  • Managing the organization’s documentation processes, including creation, reviewing, revision, distribution, and archiving documents in JDOC
  • Ensuring that all documents are following internal quality standards, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Updating, developing, and implementing document control procedures and policies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date document control databases and systems.
  • Tracking document changes and revisions and ensuring that the most current version is available to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinating document review and approval processes with internal teams and external partners.
  • Providing training and support to employees on document control processes and systems.
  • Conducting weekly audits and inspections to ensure compliance with document control procedures.
  • Managing document retention and disposal policies in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve document management practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Gap analysis and periodic review champion
  • Weekly DC data reporting

How will you get here?

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred

Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Additional training or coursework in quality management system, regulatory compliance, or document control software may be beneficial,
  • Relevant work experience in document control, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or a related field may be considered in place of degree.
  • Or a combination of education, experience and/or training

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of document control principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of relevant regulation and standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
  • Experience with document management systems and software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to conduct gap analyses and identify areas of improvement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with document creation and approval process
  • Ability to train and educate colleagues on document control process
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
