How Will You Make an Impact?
As a Quality Engineer II at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will support and strengthen the quality function across manufacturing operations by serving as a technical liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and customers. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with quality standards, and contribute to the effective resolution of product and process issues. Your work will play a key role in advancing customer satisfaction, product reliability, and operational excellence.

On-site at our Auburn Hills, MI facility.
What Will You Do?
- Develop and maintain quality assurance plans and process routings that accurately reflect planned and actual activities.
- Support quoting activities by participating in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.
- Evaluate and enhance inspection processes through creation of inspection aids, fixtures, and instructional guidelines.
- Support training programs by creating and delivering specialized quality training as needed.
- Conduct regular reviews and maintain quality documentation systems, ensuring reliable storage, access, and adherence to standards.
- Review supplier and customer discrepancies; coordinate, track, and verify corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide trend analysis for defects occurring internally, at suppliers, and at customers.
- Participate in vendor survey activities as applicable.
- Collaborate with suppliers to proactively support their process improvements when possible.
- Interface with internal teams to ensure compliance with Policies and Procedures, especially regarding ISO, GMP, and EN standards.
- Provide technical and logistical support to quality engineering staff as needed.
- Interface directly with customers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support corrective action efforts using SPC data and CA/PA systems; lead meetings, develop procedures, and support team-building initiatives as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between Jabil and customers or suppliers on quality matters.
- Help improve technical support across the quality organization.
- Follow all safety and health regulations associated with this role.
- Comply with all company security policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
How Will You Get Here?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality, engineering, or manufacturing.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of quality systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective actions, SPC).
- Familiarity with ISO, GMP, and regulatory quality standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail with highly organized documentation practices.
- Ability to thrive both independently and in team environments in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in contract manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, and/or electronics manufacturing.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or structured continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with supplier quality processes and audit activities.
