JOB SUMMARY

Provide technical component leadership, guidance and management of all preventive quality aspects of components of outside vendors from vendor selection till component release for mass production. Using established processes and procedures and is responsible for the validation and release of components and or subassemblies. (e.g. plastic injection parts, sheet metal parts, electro-mechanical parts, special electronical parts, or products out of other processes). The vendor is responsible for the development, design, realization and release of the tools, processes and other equipment to manufacture and check the components and or sub-assemblies with the required quality. The ISQA engineer is familiar with all aspects of auditing the vendor, process control instruments, measuring equipment and statistical quality tools

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Agree the process and workflow description, packing proposal and selected automatization.
· Check the material certificates, specifications and performance requirements.
· Check and agree the Environmental requirements (RoHS).
· Check the “Lessons learned” statement from Vendor including preventive actions and produce ability agreement.
· Check the schedule and all deliverables (samples, measuring data, test data, …)
· Information about deviation from stated requirements, measurement accuracy and measurement comparison.
· Build in and test feedback data from and to the Vendor (yield, test results, problems, actions, …)
· Agree and check all process capability data, trend graphs and Quality reporting
· Check and agree all final data with the Release team members
· Perform risk analysis and report to the result to the TPM
· Release component and or subassembly
· Handle over the responsibility to the Material Quality Engineer of the WC
· Manage project outputs including the following:
o Quality agreement with Vendor
o Validation / release plan per component or sub assembly
o Test results
o Documentation of Vendor processes
o Documentation of validation / release investigations and tests
o Preliminary release of component or subassembly for engineering builds or pilot
o Release Certificate of component or subassembly for mass production

Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.

Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

· Experience with development and project processes in Jabil as well as at Vendor
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
· Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
· Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
