Inventory Control Specialist II – Ireland (Hybrid)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Ballydine, Ireland. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of our global inventory and logistics operations. You will coordinate inventory control activities, mentor junior staff, and collaborate cross-functionally to support clinical and commercial supply chains. You will demonstrate strong business acumen, autonomy, and a commitment to quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Logistics
- Oversee global inventory of components, bulk, market products, and finished goods using SAP/POMS.
- Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and lead times to ensure continuity of supply.
- Conduct monthly cycle counts and publish quarterly discard/disposition reports.
- Source and procure new stock items for study launches, ensuring timely availability.
- Manage clinical drug returns and inter-lab shipping requests in compliance with SOPs.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to GMP, GxP, and quality management systems.
- Report and investigate non-conformances; define and manage CAPAs.
- Participate in internal, vendor, and regulatory audits.
- Collaborate with Compliance Council to monitor and improve QMS performance metrics.
- Maintain the quality manual and support risk assessments and supplier audits.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and train Inventory Control Associates and new hires.
- Coordinate team activities to meet departmental goals and SOPs.
- Liaise with suppliers, purchasing, finance, and lab departments on stock-related issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with CMOs, couriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Produce monthly performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in inventory control or supply chain; 6+ years without a degree.
- Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and quality management systems.
- Proficient in SAP and POMS inventory management systems.
