Position Overview:
The Associate Director, Purchasing, plays a strategic role in driving continuous improvement across the Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle. This individual will lead initiatives that enhance policy, process, and system efficiency, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• S2P Process Optimization: Analyze and refine end-to-end purchasing workflows, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements that enhance operational performance and user experience.
• Policy and Governance: Develop and maintain purchasing policies and procedures that support compliance, risk mitigation, and scalability across global operations.
• System Enhancement: Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to evaluate and improve purchasing systems (e.g., Coupa, Aravo, ServiceNow), ensuring seamless integration and robust functionality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, legal, and operations to align purchasing strategies with broader business objectives and ensure stakeholder engagement.
• Vendor Management Support: Contribute to vendor qualification and onboarding processes, ensuring data integrity, timely approvals, and alignment with sourcing strategies.
• Administration of Vendor Qualification Program: Responsible for the administration of the vendor qualification program, including oversight of workflows, documentation, and compliance standards. Drive continuous improvement of qualification processes to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Training and Documentation: Lead efforts to improve training materials, work instructions, and user guides to support adoption and compliance across teams.
• Continuous Improvement Leadership: Facilitate workshops, surveys, and feedback loops to identify pain points and prioritize initiatives that drive measurable improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
• Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems and process reengineering.
• Familiarity with vendor risk management tools and workflows.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage change.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Knowledge of purchasing methodologies, principles, and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work effectively across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree required; 10 years of relevant experience (including 5 years in supply chain, materials management, purchasing, or procurement) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


Essential Functions:
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the S2P lifecycle, enhancing policy, process, and system efficiency to align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
• Advance Procurement processes for efficiency and quality through use of AI tools and automation
• Extract and analyze spend data to identify potential opportunities.
• Lead change initiatives in purchasing programs and develop implementation plans.
• Define purchasing team roles, process steps, and timelines with stakeholders.
• Present purchasing recommendations to management.
• Conduct benchmarking and issue competitive RFPs to validate opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align purchasing with business plans and support change management.
• Manage vendor relationships using scorecards to drive improvements in pricing, service, and innovation.
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies and vendor management programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
