We are seeking Senior Specimen Receipt & Processing Associate to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business at Valencia, CA.

As a Senior Specimen Receipt & Processing Associate, you will lead critical specimen management activities, ensuring accurate accessioning, timely processing, and operational excellence across clinical laboratory workflows.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Accession and resolve issues with clinical specimens, ensuring accurate identification, sorting, and labeling for testing or storage.

  • Monitor scheduled and ad hoc requests to ensure timely and compliant completion.

  • Guide and mentor entry-level staff on departmental procedures and onboarding.

  • Identify and escalate areas of operational risk that may impact client deliverables.

  • Respond to after-hour alarms and support job-critical functions as needed.

  • Assist in reviewing and updating Specimen Management procedures and techniques.

  • Notify inventory staff of supply shortages and support inventory control.

  • Represent the Specimen Management team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a life sciences or related field.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in specimen handling, laboratory operations, or clinical research.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced lab environment.

  • Experience in mentoring, training, and coordinating operational activities across teams.

  • Familiarity with specimen accessioning systems, SOPs, and regulatory compliance in clinical lab settings.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $86,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
