About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Strategic Operations Director to support one of our senior executives in leading a high-impact portfolio of initiatives across our Data Sciences, Safety, & Medical Writing (DSSM) organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned operations leader who thrives in complex environments, excels at executive-level communication, and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

This individual will serve as a key partner to the executive, helping to drive governance, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives across the business. You will also represent DSSM in cross-functional forums and play a critical role in aligning operational performance with enterprise goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead planning and coordination of all Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings and strategic forums.
  • Support oversight of cross-DSSM strategic initiatives and business objectives.
  • Prepare and align content for Operational Reviews (OR), Management Business Reviews (MBR), and earnings call highlights.
  • Track and report on key operational metrics (e.g., utilization, TMF, CAPA), and partner with leaders to address performance gaps.
  • Manage DSSM communications, SLT Teams site, and executive-level submissions (e.g., People Deal, CEO Awards, IMPACT budgets).
  • Oversee cross-functional processes requiring executive approval.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and resource planning across cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure delivery against key milestones, quality standards, and financial targets.
  • Champion best practices and transformational initiatives across the enterprise.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, CRO, or related industry, with strong exposure to clinical operations, project management, or business operations.
  • Proven ability to operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, with a track record of delivering results across global, matrixed organizations.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence; able to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience managing operational KPIs and business performance metrics.
  • Brings high emotional intelligence and a collaborative, outgoing approach to stakeholder engagement, with strong influencing, negotiation, and leadership skills that inspire teams and drive results.
