The Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Product Management to lead the DevIQ Agent Platform, a groundbreaking developer productivity platform that streamlines the development of agentic workflows through the seamless integration of developer tools, shared data services, and published standards and best practices. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of software development at IQVIA while building the foundation for a customer-facing platform that will deliver reusable agents, workflows, and data services to the broader life sciences ecosystem.
The DevIQ Agent Platform sits at the intersection of internal developer experience and external market opportunity, requiring a visionary product leader who can balance immediate productivity gains with long-term strategic positioning. The successful candidate will work closely with IQVIA's Technical Domain Architecture team and collaborate across the entire technology organization to ensure the platform becomes both a catalyst for internal innovation and a competitive differentiator in the market.
Essential Functions:
Product Strategy and Vision Development:
- Establishing strategic partnerships with both internal stakeholders and external technology vendors to enhance platform capabilities and ensure seamless integration with IQVIA's existing technology ecosystem. Identify and prioritize feature development based on user feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility, while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture standards and the broader "IQVIA way" philosophy.
Cross-functional Leadership and Collaboration:
- This role requires exceptional leadership skills to coordinate with multiple teams across IQVIA's federated engineering organization, including the Technical Domain Architecture team, Enterprise Architecture, individual engineering teams, and various business units. Leading regular stakeholder meetings, and ensure that product decisions align with both immediate development needs and long-term business objectives. Working with the Global Technology Organization's various architectural domains to ensure platform interoperability and adherence to established standards and best practices.
Product Development and Execution Management:
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle for the DevIQ Agent Platform, from initial concept development through implementation and ongoing optimization. This includes defining detailed product requirements, managing feature prioritization, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality platform capabilities that enhance developer productivity while laying the groundwork for future customer-facing features.
- The role requires hands-on involvement in agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous iteration based on user feedback and performance metrics. The Senior Director must also establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure platform adoption, developer satisfaction, and productivity improvements across IQVIA's development teams.
Market Analysis and Customer Development:
- Initially focused on internal developer productivity, the Senior Director must continuously evaluate market opportunities for extending the DevIQ platform to external customers. This involves conducting comprehensive market research to understand customer needs for agentic workflows, reusable agents, and data services in the life sciences industry. The role requires developing business cases for platform commercialization and establishing frameworks for customer feedback collection and product iteration.
- The position involves building relationships with potential external customers to understand their requirements and validate product-market fit for future platform capabilities. The Senior Director must also monitor competitive landscapes and industry trends to ensure IQVIA maintains its position as a leader in healthcare technology innovation.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in product management, with at least 10 years in senior product leadership roles within technology organizations. A proven track record of managing complex software platforms, particularly in enterprise environments, is essential.
- Experience in the life sciences or healthcare technology sector is highly preferred, given the specialized requirements and regulatory considerations of IQVIA's operating environment.
- Experience with AI/ML platforms, developer tools, or internal developer platforms is particularly valuable, as is familiarity with agentic AI workflows and modern software development practices.
- deep understanding of software architecture principles, cloud platforms (particularly AWS and Azure), and modern development practices including API-first design, microservices architectures, and DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi, and understanding of CI/CD pipelines and developer productivity tools is essential.
- Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, particularly in the context of agentic workflows and automated decision-making systems, is crucial for this role.
- Exceptional leadership skills are required to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across IQVIA's global organization.
- Experience in leading product organizations through significant technological transitions or platform migrations is highly valued.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex technical and business requirements into actionable product strategies.

Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Outstanding communication skills are essential for this role, as the Senior Director will regularly present product strategies and updates to executive leadership, engineering teams, and external stakeholders. The ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms and articulate product value propositions to diverse audiences is crucial. Experience in conducting customer interviews, gathering requirements, and facilitating collaborative decision-making processes is required

- Proficiency in using data visualization tools and creating compelling presentations that effectively communicate product performance and strategic recommendations to various stakeholder groups. The ability to establish meaningful KPIs and tracking mechanisms for both internal productivity metrics and future customer satisfaction measures is crucial.
Innovation and Industry Expertise
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends in developer productivity tools, agentic AI systems, and life sciences technology platforms. The ability to identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the DevIQ platform roadmap is essential. Experience in evaluating and integrating third-party solutions and establishing technology partnerships is highly valued.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $161,800.00 - $450,700.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
