Job Overview
A Motion Designer is a visual storyteller who creates dynamic and engaging animations to communicate ideas, enhance user experiences, and bring digital content to life. They blend graphic design, animation, and visual effects to produce content for a variety of platforms, including video, web, mobile, and social media. Working closely with other creative team members, they transform concepts into motion graphics using tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Red Giant, Cinema 4D, and other tools, ensuring that animations align with brand identity and project goals. Motion Designers play a key role in elevating visual communication through movement, timing, and design.

Essential Functions
• Conceptualize and design motion graphics for various media including web, advertising, events, and social platforms.
• Design storyboards and style frames to visualize animation sequences and design direction.
• Create 2D and possibly 3D animations, including shape-based animation, typography, iconography, and visual effects.
• Design assets such as icons, illustrations, and UI elements for animation.
• Use industry-standard software like Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Red Giant, Cinema 4D, etc.
• Edit and composite video and animation sequences, ensuring smooth transitions and visual coherence.
• Optimize motion graphics for different platforms and formats (e.g., mobile, web, large events).
• Render and export final animations and videos in appropriate formats and resolutions.
• Work closely with senior video producer/manager and creative director to align motion design and video production with brand standards and project goals.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns or product experiences.
• Incorporate feedback from manager, creative director, and stakeholders to iterate on drafts accordingly.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for team collaboration and future use.
• Help to evolve video and audio guidelines for the IQVIA brand.
• Stay updated on trends in motion design, animation techniques, and emerging tools.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Animation, Visual Arts, or a related field. Equivalent experience is also acceptable.
• 3-5+ years of professional experience in motion graphics, animation, or a related creative field.
• Proficient in English
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with Red Giant and Cinema 4D is a strong advantage.
• A deep understanding of graphic design, animation principles, video editing, typography, and visual storytelling.
• Familiarity with sound design
• Knowledge of rendering, compositing, and visual effects techniques.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of motion design and video work created in professional environments such as agencies, film, news media, corporate, or similar industries.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, composition, and timing.
• Ability to take creative direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
