Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing, the Web & Analytics Lead contributes to the success of Invest Ottawa’s digital marketing and communications strategy by ensuring the organization’s web presence is engaging, accessible, and data-informed. This role supports the ongoing development, optimization, and analysis of web platforms and digital performance metrics, enabling stronger storytelling, audience engagement, and organizational impact.
- 10 days per month required in the office at Bayview Yards
- Corporate Pay Band C: $60,800- $91,200
- Hiring Salary Range: $60,800-$83,600

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Lead the management, design, development and optimization of Invest Ottawa websites across business lines (Invest Ottawa, Area X.O and Bayview Yards)
- Plan, implement, and test new features, integrations, and enhancements in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing.
- Monitor and optimize site performance, ensuring compliance with accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), SEO and UX best practices.
- Maintain and improve site architecture, usability, and content structure to deliver seamless experience for diverse audiences.
- Leverage data and user insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Manage analytics platforms (Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Looker Studio, or similar) to capture, interpret, and visualize web and campaign performance
- Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and support data-informed decision-making.
- Track and analyze KPIs such as traffic, engagement , conversions and effectiveness, ensuring data integrity across systems.
- Partner with marketing, communications, creative and IT teams to support integrated campaigns, align digital tools, and enhance user journeys.
- Coordinate with external vendors on web development and analytics initiatives.
- Build digital literacy across teams through training, documentation and internal resources.
- Diagnose and resolve web performance, tracking, and data integrity issues, balancing technical requirements with strategic goals.
- Use advanced analytics to inform strategy, anticipate risks, and recommend proactive solutions
- Support campaigns and events with digital tracking, analysis and timely performance reporting
- Maintain documentation for analytics, tagging, and reporting processes to ensure consistent , scalable execution.
WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED/GAINED THROUGHOUT YOUR CAREER:
- Post-secondary education in Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Web Design/Development or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in web management, analytics, or digital strategy roles.
- Proficiency in Google Tag Manager, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI).
- Certification in Google Analytics (GA4) and other digital marketing analytics platforms and tools considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience working with CRMs (Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot etc, e-mail analytics and data visualization tools.
- Hands-on experience managing and maintaining CMS-based websites (e.g., WordPress, Drupal), including implementing technical updates and troubleshooting issues.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development practices to support content implementation, analytics tagging, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of SEO, web accessibility, and UX best practices.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and technical acumen.
- Collaborative, creative, solution-oriented, and highly detail-focused.
- Comfortable balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution.
- Committed to continuous learning and digital innovation.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Awareness of evolving digital trends, including AI-driven analytics, and automation in marketing technology, is an asset.
