$112,000.00 - $208,000.00

Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):

$100,800.00 - $187,200.00

Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:

  • Support new MOCVD tool installation and qualification. Collaborate with external and internal engineering team to bring up the state-of-the-art new Epi reactors to support production ramps.
  • Support characterization and other support equipment installations for the Epi department. Work with a rigging company and facility team to prepare tools arrival for installation and qualification. Support equipment including gas panels, valve manifold box (VMB), abatement systems, etching sink, parts cleaning sink and oven.
  • Create operational, safety, calibration and maintenance procedures. Train, mentor, and certify internal technician team on the written procedures.
  • Manage equipment safety certifications processes (SL1, 2, 3), FAT, and SAT for the new installation.
  • Support all activities for the current production MOCVD tools in Sunnyvale Fab.
  • Lead the team to solve complex equipment issues.
  • Make decisions on procuring a spare part inventory requirement and maintain a minimum spare inventory level.
  • Worked with tool vendors to upgrade and improve equipment process and address safety issues.
  • Need to work independently and take on tool ownership responsibility.
  • Must have familiarity with safety procedures and working with hazardous materials is required (LOTO, high voltage, toxic gases, chemical, PPE, SDS, etc.)
  • Routine reviews equipment procedure and checklist to assure ISO compliance.
  • Required occasionally support for tool down at off-shift hour including weekend.




Education & Experience Necessary For Success:

  • BS in an Engineering discipline in mechanical or electrical engineering with a minimum of five years’ experience or an MS in Engineering with a minimum of three years’ experience
  • Experience in PLC and automation is a plus.
  • Experience with prototyping fixtures and tool design is a plus.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem solving for both technical and process issues.
  • Desired skills include understanding of electrical schematic, CAD design (Solidwork and AutoCAD), PLC, facility design layout, factory automation, and SPC++.
  • Must be safety oriented, follow all safety guidelines and all cleanroom protocol.
  • Must be self-motivated with minimum supervision.
  • Strong hand-on equipment experience is a must.
  • Ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines.
  • Participate in maintenance events, including work using supplied air respirators such as SCBA and supplied air-line breathing apparatus
  • Strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to pass yearly physical and SCBA respirator mask fit test for respiratory safety
