CA Pay Range (Annual):

$112,000.00 - $208,000.00

Title: High-Speed Analog IC Development Product Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Description

Infinera is seeking a qualified ASIC Engineer for a High-Speed Analog IC Product Engineer position. The engineer will work on the development and integration of these high-performance ICs into innovative telecommunication products in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment. The engineer will collaborate with multiple teams on product definition, requirements, DVT, qualification, test, and production ramp-up. As a member of a vertically integrated team, the engineer will be directly supporting test and application of the IC at various assembly levels up to the system level. The self-motivated engineer must be able to anticipate problems and devise effective solutions. This position requires the candidate to work locally in Sunnyvale, CA.


Responsibilities

  • Translate system requirements for high-speed analog telecom ICs and digital control ICs into specifications and ensure the design, test, and verification is in place to enforce compliance.
  • Develop and maintain application notes to support the integration of ASICs into telecommunication products.
  • Act as liaison from IC design team up to module/system-level HW integration and test teams.
  • Drive supply of proto ICs for performance and reliability verification activities.
  • Perform statistical data analysis on large data sets to characterize and improve the product.
  • Track, troubleshoot and resolve IC issues with the design team.
  • Evaluate capabilities, yields, and supply planning in preparation for volume ramp following product release.

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Product Engineering experience working cross-functionally to bring analog or digital ICs to market through multiple dev cycles.
  • Ability to evaluate performance of analog and digital ICs and lead failure analysis.
  • A good understanding of device physics and impact on analog circuits and techniques to improve performance.
  • Product Engineering experience working cross-functionally to bring products to market through multiple dev cycles.
  • Aptitude to work with a large body of data, perform statistical analysis, and present data and ideas to a diverse audience.
  • Adept at organizing and managing information
  • Demonstrated ability to improve proficiency by applying programming skills and developing processes

Education Requirements

  • MS in EE/CE/physics and 4+ yrs of experience or PhD in EE/CE/physics
  • Advanced candidates with PhD in EE/CE/physics and 4+ yrs of experience will also be considered
  • Job level would be based on educational requirements met and level of experience relevant to this role
