$144,900.00 - $269,100.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.

The Manager, Module Process Development will oversee assembly process development and transfer to manufacturing of Infinera’s Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) Module Products. He or she will lead a diverse group of strong engineering individual contributors versed in mechanical engineering and material science. The person should have hands-on experience with optoelectronic or microelectronic assembly process development as well as automated equipment, including but not limited to, optical device alignment, flip chip assembly, pick and place machines, wire bond, ribbon bond, and flexible circuit attach. The person should be detail oriented, understand Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), innovative data reduction, and statistical analysis. He or she should be able to manage multiple critical path activities and be able to technically communicate with team members and up-level key messages. He or she must be able to develop and manage project budgets and schedules.
Responsibilities
Manage and scale the team to deliver solutions in support of Infinera’s assembly process development of optical engines
Manage execution of process design methodologies and platform development
Work with cross-functional teams to understand and define product requirements and plans
Lead interactions with internal and external teams and vendors on design and qualification efforts
Independently resolves issues and conquers organization and technical challenges
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Develop and actively manage project budgets, schedules, and risk profiles
Provide inputs into product road maps
Requirements
MS in engineering, 5 years’ experience in telecommunications, optoelectronics, or microelectronics
Management experience required
Industry experience with optoelectronic or microelectronic assembly processes, and equipment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experienced in managing/leading a diverse team of strong Individual contributors
Strong engineering and project management skills
Proven ability to manage diverse organizations
Technical depth to understand concerns and communicate status and resolution to executive leadership team
Ability to evaluate candidates and build successful teams
Ability to build cost models and perform competitive analyses
Fluent in verbal and written communications
