Department Summary:

The Mortgage, Insurance & Banking business leads the strategic direction of innovative product and service development in an effort to provide superior wealth planning, advice, and well-being for affluent Canadians. The team seeks to optimize solutions, grow market share, enhance SOW, and embed credit management and protections strategies in every financial plan. As part of the Mortgage, Insurance & Banking division, the Partnership Management and Delivery team provides support in the overall management of multiple complex partner relationships across Mortgage and Banking and in delivering operational change in IG and partner environments, including partner relationship and contract management, incident and escalation triage, operational data and analytics, and delivery for the Mortgage & Banking business.

Position:

As a part of the Partnership Management and Delivery team, the Specialist, Mortgage and Banking Delivery is responsible for supporting the execution and implementation of change management activities towards the advancement of the Mortgage and Banking business lines. This individual will be expected to exhibit strong organizational and communication skills and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to coordinate deliverables for the successful implementation of change initiatives related to Mortgage and Banking products and distribution activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Sr. Analyst, manage and execute on change log activities and coordinate delivery items for successful implementation of initiatives, including communication plan, training plan, etc.

  • Actively participate in joint planning sessions with internal stakeholders and external partners to understand change projects and recommend change activities.

  • Assist in the development of change impact and risk assessments as required.

  • Key liaison with internal stakeholders in coordinating the implementation of activities to support delivery requests (i.e. IG Corporate Communication, Marketing, Web, OCM and Application Delivery).

  • Create and maintain content assets to support change initiatives (intranet site content, communications, presentations, training.)

  • Track and monitor change progress including issues and create awareness and understanding to key stakeholders.

  • Assist in the development of training and communications, including delivery methodology to support department and business needs as part of change adoption and engagement.

  • Support and respond to inquiries from Field Management, Advisors, Internal teams and partners as required.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary education in a related discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Commerce) and OR

  • 2+ years of relevant experience within the Financial Services Industry with a focus on change/project management. Completion of Change Management certification and/or project management considered an asset

  • Strong organizational skills to effectively coordinate multiple tasks with flexibility to manage changing priorities to achieve project objectives and timelines.

  • Proven oral and written communication skills, involving content creation and effectively conveying key messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and work effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise in Microsoft Office 365 application suite with an emphasis on PowerPoint and SharePoint. The use of agile project management application tools e.g. JIRA is considered an asset

  • Ability to work autonomously, with high level of initiative, accountability, and a progressive attitude towards innovation and change.
