We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Finance Manager - WHOLESALE DATA TRANSFORM-CHINA.
Principal responsibilities
- Management Information Reporting: working with the wider WDAC central portfolio team, IT and Transformation Finance teams to ensure accurate tracking of actuals against forecast, both from a cost and headcount perspective, including distillation of this information for succinct and digestible upward reporting.
- Providing accounting guidance to the Project Management community: improving the overall quality and capability of cost and resource forecasting among change practitioners within WDAC through ongoing review and coaching.
- Gatekeeper of project costs: management of the cost tollgate process, ensuring recruitment aligns with approved forecast.
- Business Partnering with Vendors and Project Managers: improve process efficiency, improve forecasting of resourcing and non-resourcing requirements and reduction of costs where appropriate.
- Ensuring project expenditure approval and adhering to financial guidelines and policy.
- Strengthen and embed investment appraisal principles: ensure the WDAC change portfolio is following robust decision-making processes and is maintaining effective business case management throughout the full lifecycle, from initiation to benefits realization.

- In this role you will work directly with a broad range of stakeholders across multiples businesses and functions.
- It is imperative that you are able to show excellent stakeholder management.

- Ensure requirements coming from multiple areas are aligned.
- Managing expectations of multiple stakeholders and resolving conflicts.
Knowledge
- Experience of working in a change environment within financial services.
- Knowledge of accounting practices within a projects / change context.
- Knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc.
Experience
- Experience of supporting programmes with large budgets (£10M+).
- Experience as a HR / Finance Business Partner would be advantageous.
- Proven ability working in in complex multi-jurisdiction and multi-cultural environments.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and sponsors.
- Experience in PMO of complex programmes/ organizations.

Qualifications and Accreditations
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Accounting qualification would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of HSBC financial systems (e.g. TM1, gPDM, HIBS/CIBS) would be advantageous.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
