Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in understanding and meeting customer needs by offering the right solutions through the right channels to the right customer segments. The team is responsible for implementing distribution strategy, driving the delivery of market leading personal banking customer experiences and thereby maximising customer satisfaction.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Staff Training and Competency Development.
Principal Responsibilities
- Ensure that the regulatory Training & Competency standards are consistent with the FAA Fair Dealing Guidelines, and Group Standards for regulated client-facing roles in Distribution Channels
- Ensure regulated client-facing roles meet Capital Market and Financial Advisory Services Examination (CMFAS) governed by the Financial Advisors Act (FAA), and Securities and Futures Act (SFA) under the MAS Representative Notification Framework (RNF)
- Develop the minimum competency standards for such roles, comprising knowledge, skills, and professional ethics
- Deployment of the Training and Competency Framework through formal programs to ensure consistency across multiple sales roles. This includes a structured Onboarding Programs or new sales hires and Continuing Professional Development for existing sales roles including sales managers
- Ensure training programs are designed with quality content and delivery, using relevant learning methodologies such as Instructor-led, e-Learning, on-job-training, and coaching, amongst others
- Design, develop and deliver on-demand training interventions to support business growth and priorities
- Train and facilitate workshops for client-facing staff
- Extensive years of proven track record in the development of front-line training and competency plans
- Strong knowledge of the requirements of sales staff in a highly regulated industry
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate across various business lines at different levels within the organization
- Strong knowledge of the customer service and customer experience
- Proven track record of communicating effectively within the organization and with customer groups
- Strong understanding of the Banking business and environment
- Strong ability to credibly interact with all stakeholders
- Strong thought leadership and influencing skills
- Excellent communication and strong commercial orientation
- Ability to deliver a convincing presentation or training across all segments
- Proactive and independent, displaying creativity and lateral thinking
- Excellent interpersonal skills, required to establish good relationships with business users at sites and supporting units
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities
- Able to make decisions and problem solve independently
- Able to communicate and influence at all levels
- Strong Word and PowerPoint skills
