We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Manager/AVP WPB Risk Reporting – Unsecured Assets.
Role Purpose

With the growth of the various WPB asset products in both size and complexity and the expanded scope of the Risk function to cover the broad spectrum of risks affecting the business, the importance of accurate risk assessment information and decision analytics has likewise grown.
The jobholder is responsible for the constant and comprehensive analyses of the unsecured portfolios (Cards / Personal Loans), with the underlying goal of growth and profitability. He/She is responsible for supporting the WPB Risk teams by providing analytics through SAS programs and other tools, while taking into consideration all policies, guidelines, portfolio and account management strategies.
A high level of technical expertise with analytical software and internal systems is required to manipulate and analyze the volume of retail data.
Principal Accountabilities:
Impact on the Business
  • Develop useful analytics that will drive acquisition strategies for unsecured portfolios (Cards / Personal Loans) to ensure optimal asset quality and profitability;
  • Monitor portfolio quality and proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities for growth using customer application, behavioural, and performance data;
  • Produce actionable recommendations on strategies and processes to Risk and business stakeholders based on a comprehensive understanding of retail data and existing strategies;
Customers/Stakeholders and Leadership & Teamwork
  • Manage the design and production of timely and accurate MI reports for Risk and WPB stakeholders using local / regional data sources;
  • Support the Regional Risk teams in the development of scorecards and the associated strategies;
  • Support the development of analytical skills and data interrogation techniques within the team to strengthen capabilities and ensure the continued relevance of the function. Data tools include but are not limited to SAS, Microsoft Office, MS Access, HUB Query, Python, etc.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
  • Direct the efficient use and facilitate enhancement of analytical systems and tools;
  • Design and manage various databases, ensure their integrity for future retrieval and analysis, and facilitate investigations regarding data consistency and accuracy;
Qualifications
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
  • Comfortable working with Excel, particularly spreadsheets and databases, and data mining/transformation tools (i.e. SAS programming, Decision Trees);
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
  • Previous experience in retail lending / analytics roles is an advantage;
