In this role you will:
• Participate in validating the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls through inspection, inquiry, observation, sampling, re-performance and recalculation.
• Participate in activities to help ensure control assessments are accurate, effective, comply with procedures and templates, and meet quality control requirements.
• Assist with the promotion of accountable risk and control decision-making based on quality data and commercial analysis
• Support the challenging of poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviours
• Help promote desired behaviours and a positive risk culture across the remit area

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
• Two to three years of experience in supporting a highly collaborative team is preferred.
• An ability to adapt communication style and approach to the intended audience.
• Good organizational, interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Knowledge of HSBC Group Risk Management Framework or similar financial services risk framework is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products (MS Visio, and others)
