As a Sr Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in driving our organization's procurement and purchasing activities. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will oversee purchasing processes and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives.

You will report directly to our Sr Director Strategic Sourcing and you will work out of our Glendale, AZ, Deer Valley, AZ or Clearwater, FL location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization by orchestrating and optimizing the procurement function, leading to enhanced operational efficiency, substantial cost savings, and fortifying its position in the competitive business landscape.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with Integrated Program Teams (IPT), Sourcing Program Managers (SPM), and other stakeholders as appropriate to ensure the needs of the program are met.
• Source and purchase materials to meet production and customer demands, ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production and program schedules.
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement, monitoring inventory levels and optimize inventory management processes.
• Monitor and control purchasing costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and optimizing the allocation of resources.
• Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and collaborating on improvements to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain.
• Ensure that all purchasing activities adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of quality control standards in purchasing processes, conducting inspections and performance assessments.
• Support the management of the procurement budget, allocate resources efficiently, and seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
• Participate in implementing sourcing strategies, identifying opportunities for supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation.
• Leverage technology solutions, such as procurement software and analytics, to enhance purchasing processes, monitoring, and reporting.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management or other business related field
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of buying strategies, supplier relations, and cost control.
• Proficient in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
