Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Electronic Solutions. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for software at every aspect of the software life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the Anthem/Thunderbolt business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the Thunderbolt software development team consisting of approximately 25 engineers

· Provide career guidance and growth opportunities for direct reports

· Provide performance feedback

· Foster a culture aligning with Honeywell’s key behaviors

· Provide Technical leadership of various aspects of the Thunderbolt software

· Provide coordination and leadership of 3rd party engineering teams

· Provide cross-team coordination and leadership

· Manage development plans; utilize metrics to provide early warnings to any plan deviations

· Drive process compliance for development activities including requirements, design, implementation, verification

· customer interaction (primarily internal)

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

· Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent

· 20 years avionics experience with embedded software emphasis

· Past managerial experience of an engineering team(s)

· Experience with aspects of certification of large avionics systems

· Experience with the development of Platform software
