As a Sr Production Planner here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production planning, scheduling, and inventory management. With your expertise and attention to detail, you will contribute to the success of our Aerospace Technologies (AT) business.

You will report directly to our Procurement and Planning Director for the CMOC organization and you'll work out of our Tucson Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and profitability of our operations by effectively managing production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery, and minimizing inventory costs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production plans with customer demand and optimize resource utilization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning processes and systems
  • Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
  • Handle inquiries, escalations, and expedite requests from Customer Business Teams and Program Managers
  • Raise Salesforce.com cases and work with Customer & Product Support team and Customer Business focal to remove sales order blocks
  • Work expedites and acceleration requests with customer early ship allowance
  • Past Due recovery MOS including weekly meetings with program managers
  • Line of balance reviews for critical parts
  • Active participation in problem resolution (ex. Follow up on first article approvals with supplier and engineering)
  • Lead priority allocation discussions with customer business teams

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning or supply chain management in the aerospace industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
  • APICS certification or equivalent
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry regulations and standards
