Sr Automation Engineer

As an Sr Automation Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations. Your primary focus will be on increasing the level of automation in the manufacturing process through the implementation of automation projects. This will involve enhancing process parameters and manufacturing technologies for our products to ensure that customer requirements are met effectively.
You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager and work onsite following a standard work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Management of automation projects developed by external suppliers, including conceptual work, equipment specifications, project management, factory acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for identifying and leading automation projects aimed at increasing production capacity and improving product quality.
- Identify potential process improvement projects, including the design and development of PLC programs to effectively address these opportunities.
- Develop, review, maintain, and update documentation, files, procedures, databases, drawings, and schematics to ensure the integrity of equipment and process control technologies.
- Complete assigned tasks in accordance with the agreed schedule and budget, while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Guide and train personnel in the area on process control methodologies to facilitate improvement and control of processes.
- Prepare and modify procedures and training instructions as necessary for automation processes, including training for installation and maintenance personnel.
Requirements:
- Hold a technical degree in electronics, telecommunications, automation, or computer science.
- Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in the development and implementation of automation processes and equipment
- Practical experience with PLCs, HMIs, robots, motion control, and associated programming software.
- Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is an advantage.
- Proficient in English and data analytics tools such as (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Availability for flexible work schedule, including on-site and on-call.
- Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills.
